About Me
Color Designer · Architect · Fiber Artist
I’m GuoGuo (Zhengcui Guo / Jan), a color designer, architect, and fiber artist based in Norway. Born in Jingdezhen — China’s porcelain capital — I’ve always been surrounded by color and craftsmanship.
From 2012 to 2019, I worked at Beijing Ximan Color (西蔓色彩) as a project manager, leading over 20 urban color planning projects across China. I collaborated closely with Japanese color experts on city-scale color strategies — bringing rigorous, culturally-rooted color methodology to urban environments across China.
In 2019, I moved to Norway and founded guoguoart, my independent design and art studio. My work spans three interconnected worlds:
🎨 Color Design
Architectural & interior color consulting, urban color planning — transforming spaces through evidence-based, culturally-informed color strategies.
🧶 Wool Felt Art
Creating tactile, sculptural fiber art from Norwegian wool. My work has been exhibited in 5 local art exhibitions in Norway.
✏️ Zentangle
Certified Zentangle enthusiast and workshop facilitator. I believe everyone is an artist — Zentangle proves it. Currently exploring the fusion of traditional Chinese patterns with Zentangle methodology.
Now
I’m currently studying Norwegian and English at an adult high school in Norway, preparing for university applications. I continue to create, exhibit, and teach — weaving together color theory, craftsmanship, and community.
